Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fail. Confucius
Back from the Swiss alps to the beautiful coastline of Norfolk and Suffolk with beach walks, camping trips and seeing so many friendly faces!
Over the past few days I have had some random meetings with young people waiting for their A level results. I remember the day I received mine. College days were not the best of my life for various reasons and needless to say, my results were not great either. In fact, I failed one of my A levels and seeing it there on a piece of paper in black and white honestly felt at the time like the worst thing in the world. I didn’t at that time realise that failure would lead me to a different university, to the most wonderful group of friends and the best five years in north London.
So, if you’re receiving that piece of paper (or I imagine it’s probably an email now) then look forward to the journey you’re going on next. It may not be the one you expected, but sometimes unexpected journeys are the best as I’m discovering during my time on the road.
